Blessed Sacrament Parish Awards $125,000 in Christian Service Funding Grants for 2025

MIDLAND, MI – [March 3, 2025] – Blessed Sacrament Parish is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Christian Service Funding (CSF) Grants, awarding a total of $125,000 to 53 organizations dedicated to serving the community.

Since 1981, Blessed Sacrament Parish has provided over $3 million in funding through its CSF grants, supporting initiatives that uplift individuals and families in need. The funds come from the parish’s weekend collection tithe, where 10% of Sunday collections are set aside for grants and emergency assistance. Emergency Assistance funds address immediate needs such as rent, utilities, and car repairs for those struggling in the community.

The CSF Committee, comprised of parishioners, carefully reviews each application and determines the distribution of funds to organizations that align with the parish’s mission of service. This year’s grant recipients include food pantries, shelters, mental health services, youth programs, and humanitarian organizations, all committed to making a meaningful impact.

“For years, Blessed Sacrament has partnered with these organizations by sharing the gifts we have received,” said Fr. Rob Howe. “They then provide meaningful and loving service to people throughout the region and even abroad. It is truly a symbiotic relationship and, in many instances, has continued over years.”

Among the 2025 grant recipients are:

  • Hidden Harvest – $5,000 to combat food insecurity
  • Mustard Seed Shelter – $5,000 to provide safe housing for women and children
  • Midland Open Door – $4,000 to support the homeless and vulnerable populations
  • Toni & Trish House – $5,000 for compassionate end-of-life care
  • Salvation Army of Midland – $2,000 for community assistance programs

Other beneficiaries include organizations focused on education, rehabilitation, housing, and global outreach. Each recipient plays a vital role in fostering hope and transformation in local and global communities.

Blessed Sacrament will host an open house featuring this year’s recipients on Sunday, March 16 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am.

Blessed Sacrament Parish remains committed to supporting those in need, ensuring that these grants continue to make a lasting difference.
