Bio:
I arrived at Blessed Sacrament in 1998 after moving to Midland from Kentucky. Finding a place to attend church was at the top of my “to do” list. I was happy to find a welcoming and friendly Catholic church within walking distance of our new home. I enrolled my oldest son in 3-year-old faith formation classes and signed up to be a co-catechist in 1998. After many years as a catechist for elementary students I was hired to work in the school’s Kinder-plus room in 2006. The following year I worked as a part time classroom aid for Kindergarten in 2007, and a full time classroom aid in kindergarten from 2009 to 2012. Also in 2007, I attended Divorce Recovery here at Blessed Sacrament. I have been a part of the Divorce Recovery team that facilitates this class since 2008. From 2009 to 2011 I also co-taught Theology of the Body to 9th graders for faith formation on Sundays. In 2012, I became the “Lunch Lady” and “Extended Care Director”. Throughout the many transitions, I added to my education as needed and to satisfy my own curiosity about our faith. I do believe everyone is meant to be a lifelong learner and I strive to encourage lifelong learning here at work and in my home.
